Product details
Shyly peering from under a cascade of emerald green ferns, this ancient parrot is caught in a beam of sunshine. Kakapo Galaxy graces this artwork. She hatched in 2019 and was photographed by Jake Osborne as part of a health check.
Based on original photographs by Jake Osborne (Department of Conservation) and Judi, this artwork was created using digital compositing. It is available as a limited-edition print on archival fine-art paper in sizes large (40x40cm, edition of 20) and extra-large (80x80cm, edition of 10), with an additional white margin. Each piece is hand-signed, editioned, and printed with archival inks on heavyweight paper and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Prints are shipped rolled using acid-free packaging.
Judi Lapsley Miller is a wildlife conservation artist from Poneke – Wellington. A 10% donation from Judi's proceeds for this piece supports conservation efforts by the Mauri Ora Kakapo Trust.
