Product details
A Hei Matau (Fish Hook) represents strength, prosperity, good luck & safe travels over water. The wearer is seen as a provider & protector who is strong-willed & determined to succeed in life. The fish hook shape of the Hei Matau Greenstone finds its origins
in Maori legend; that the North Island of New Zealand was once a huge fish that was caught by Maui, using a fish hook taken from his grandmother’s jaw-bone.
Over time this Pounamu will absorb its wearer's natural body oils, taking on qualities unique only to them. It will harness their energy & its colours & depth of detail will alter beautifully over time. The colours of this pendant will forever be a symbol of their
connection to our beautiful land & one day may be a sacred heirloom they hand down to their future generations.
May this taonga (treasure) inspire you & your open eyes to the beauty of our magnificent world.
