Like the rest of the range of Height of Arrows, Holyrood use their Whisky DNA to develop gin. For the Heavy Gin, like whisky using toasted malt, roasting spices has long been known to extract more complex flavour. So in the Heavy recipe calls for roasted the juniper, extracting more flavour to build a gin with big and robust flavour. A small addition of sugar after distillation brings balance, and a subtle sweetness. Old Tom in style. Dark pine and orange peel on the nose with a slight floral presence and a woody herbacious notes. On the palate, it is sweet and creamy with a distinct floral sweetness. The texture is syrupy and rich, coating the mouth.
