Runholder Chardonnay 2022

Te Kairanga Runholder Chardonnay 2022 is a nod to Martinborough’s pioneering namesake John Martin, who once farmed the land with sheep, earning him the name of ‘Runholder’. This wine is handcrafted from the very best vineyard parcels sourced from Te Kairanga’s home vineyards planted on his original land holdings.

A beautiful hue of mellow gold opens to bold, complex savoury stone fruit with mineral undertones on the nose. The palate is full, with mouth filling texture and concentration of flavour. Barrel fermentation gives texture and complexity with underlying ripe fruit core. Hints of cashew and almond combine with ripe white peach in an elegant, poised and rich palate. Try alongside Indian street food snacks such as dahi and pani puri chaats.
