Kete Pendant, Jade

The Kete Pendant is a stunning little Kete pouch carved from New Zealand Jade. A piece of art to wear - to carry your dreams.

Kete is the M?ori word for basket, these are traditionally made from New Zealand flax. The flax is stripped into pieces and woven together to create a basket or pouch - used to carry and store food.

This pendant is a delight to handle - beautifully organic in form with a small, cupped opening in the top. The jade used for this piece is a lovely soft green which is offset with a natural-coloured cord.

This is a wonderful example of jade craftsmanship at a very high level.
