A Quick Study (Toutouwai)

Under the light of the moon and with a handy lamp, this young toutouwai (North Island robin) burns the midnight oil studying hard in a most unusual forest. Fiercely intelligent, toutouwai can do complicated arithmetic and keep wowing researchers with their abilities. They truly are quick studies.

Based on original photographs by Judi and additional ephemera, this artwork was created using digital compositing. It is available as a limited-edition print on archival fine-art paper in sizes large (40x40cm, edition of 5) and extra-large (80x80cm, edition of 3), with an additional white margin. Each piece is hand-signed, editioned, and printed with archival inks on heavyweight paper and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Prints are shipped rolled using acid-free packaging.
