Product details

Nestled among lush ferns, the curious gaze of Kenneth the kakapo draws you into his world. Kenneth is a real-life kakapo from Pukahereka/Coal Island. Known for his confident and inquisitive nature, he’s a fan favourite. His portrait celebrates one of New Zealand’s most charismatic and endangered birds, showing their charm and vulnerability in vivid detail.

Based on original photographs by Jake Osborne (Department of Conservation) and Judi, this artwork was created using digital compositing. It is available as a limited-edition print on archival fine-art paper in sizes large (40x40cm, edition of 20) and extra-large (80x80cm, edition of 10), with an additional white margin. Each piece is hand-signed, editioned, and printed with archival inks on heavyweight paper and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Prints are shipped rolled using acid-free packaging.

Judi Lapsley Miller is a wildlife conservation artist from Poneke – Wellington. A 10% donation from Judi's proceeds for this piece supports conservation efforts by the Mauri Ora Kakapo Trust.
